Flea and Tick Prevention
Protecting our pets against fleas and ticks is a constant battle in Texas. There have been several advances in this area over the last few years. It is important to discuss these options with a qualified person to make sure the product you get will handle the problem you have. We carry the following products:
Frontline Plus
This is a prevention for both dogs and cats. When applied monthly, it is very effective against fleas and ticks. It also contains am ingredient that kills flea eggs and larvae, too, This prevents all stages from developing.
Heartworm Prevention
Heartworm disease is a devastating illness that is found through out the country, especially in the southern states. Unfortunately, pets not on a preventative medication in Texas are very likely to get heartworms . It is very fortunate for our pets that there have been excellent preventatives for quite a while. Daily and monthly medications have been successful for years and now there is even a medication that only needs to be given twice a year. We carry the following:
Heartgard Plus
This has been the number one product for heartworm prevention for years. Given monthly, this is an effective medication for heartworm prevention in dogs and cats . This product protects against heartworms, roundworms and hookworms.
Dog & Cat Food
Hill’s Science Diet is stocked in our clinics as well as Hill’s Prescription diets for the pets needing a special food.
